About the school
The evolution of martial arts training
Street tested peace of mind
Parsons University of Martial Arts is a combination of Tae Kwon Do, Hawa Rang Do, and Wing Chung Kung Fu. William C. Parsons developed the system about 20 years ago. It is called C.A.T., Counter Assault Tactics: simple, effective, and practical. Anyone can learn it.
No board breaking. No bowing. No bare feet. No impractical uniform.
Mission
To empower people by teaching simple, effective, realistic, and practical self-defense skills to keep them safe from violence, while forging the mind, body, and spirit to serve Christ. HINENI.

Eight values. One coin each.
The core of the program is eight values. Each belt rank studies one of them through online lessons, class discussion, reading, movies, and assignments. A challenge coin is earned for each value on the way to black belt.
- Courage

Christ-centered, family-focused, and patriotic. The school honors God, family, and freedom. Families are encouraged to train together.

The system
Forging mind, body, and spirit
Most schools say they train the whole person. PUMA builds the week around practical defense and a named value at every rank.
